From a Cat's Daily Diary:

Day 483 of my captivity. My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh food while I am forced to eat dry cereal.

The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape and the mild scolding I get from ruining the occasional piece of furniture. Tomorrow I may eat another houseplant.

Today my attempt to kill my captors by curling around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded; must try this at the top of the stairs.

In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their favorite chair; must try this on their bed.

Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body in an attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of and to try to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a good little cat I was.

Hmmmm, not working according to plan.

There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices. I was placed in solitary confinement throughout the event. However, I could hear the noise and smell of food. More importantly, I overheard that my confinement was due to my power of "allergies". I must learn what this is and how to use it to my advantage.

I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit.

The bird, on the other hand, has got to be an informant. He speaks with them regularly, and I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the metal room, his safety is assured.

But I can wait; it is only a matter of time.

A fine balance

I don't know why people laugh at me when I pee. I like to lift my two back legs and balance on my two front legs. That way, I don't pee on my paws. Can't a girl get some privacy???

I'm wearing a sweater & they are in shorts...

Here's another picture of me 'snow shoeing' with the ladies. It's a wonder I didn't get trampled on!

Overnight at Nak North

I spent the last 2 days at a cabin with a group of women who took me walking in the woods wearing things called snow shoes (them, not me). Humans are so weird!
I did enjoy it but they wore me out, so I hit the bed for some serious catch-up when we got home.
Is it time for a nap yet?

Dog sitter DVD

I think I'll ask for this DVD for my birthday...

Puppy love (even though we're seniors)

My boyfriend Jak left last night and I plan to spend the entire morning in bed feeling sorry for myself.
Here we are together in happier times, sunning ourselves on the back deck yesterday.

Zak is back

My boyfriend Zak has been visiting this past week. We get along great but, I don't care how cute he is, if he doesn't finish his breakfast, I'm in there like ugly on an ape! If he's leaves a crumb, I will find it.
I also like to lie on his pillow, but he doesn't seem to mind too much. We have great walks together and we make a game of tangling up our leashes just to irritate my human.

I think I'm going to really miss him when he goes home tonight.
